Pleasant to see India a step away from world-Cup. Matches with Aus and Pak are enough to show that team-India is equally strong in batting, bowling and fielding. The two matches are a historical demonstration of maturity, confidence, coordination and persistence by team India. The same is just need to be repeated once more to gracefully lift the world cup!!!

Will India repeat 1983??? By attempting this I do not wish to join the overwhelmed crowds mad (first) for and (then) after future -telling (meaningless attempts to predict future).  "Act well your part there all the honor lies"!!!  Let's just analyze:
Kapil 1983

With legend (read Tendulakar) in his form,  today's team-india 'as a whole'  is one of the best team, India has ever had after 1983 - with a few advantages over the latter. Like, 1. In 1983 the legend and the captain (read Kapil Dev) was one and the same but now the two roles are split (in Sachin and Dhoni) for our advantage and efficiency. 2.Also, in terms of numbers of matured/experienced players today's Team is more balanced.

I wish this World Cup is won by team-india for Sachin, for cricket fans waiting since eternity (read 1983) and for country. Sincere, directed, historical, apolitical, polite, and a horse of long races...yes master blaster Sachin....he deserves a salute of this kind. As world cup has saluted to legends like KapilDev and Imran, it must give-in to Sachin as well. He is the most refined, true spirited cricketer, the legend India has ever provided to the world of cricket after Kapil Paji. Moreover, it's a really a long time after 1983...a wait of full 28 years by the fans and cricket lovers !!!
